Morretti Surfaces is a sophisticated corporate website and advanced B2B portal designed for a premium surface and tile manufacturing brand. Developed using the robust Laravel framework, the platform offers an elegant digital catalog that dynamically showcases various collections, intricate designs, and bespoke surfacing solutions.
A core feature of the platform is its dedicated "Architect Portal", which empowers industry professionals, interior designers, and architects to directly request physical sample kits, lookbooks, binders, and master kit orders. It also features an integrated quotation management system and dynamic PDF/QR code generation for sharing product details.
Backed by an optimized MySQL database and an S3-compatible cloud storage architecture for high-resolution assets, the system provides administrators with a powerful backend dashboard to seamlessly manage incoming leads, architectural requests, product inventories, and the brand's heritage timeline.
Previously, managing sample requests, binder dispatches, and bespoke project inquiries involved a tedious manual process relying on fragmented emails, phone calls, and spreadsheets. This led to delayed response times, difficulty in tracking order statuses, and a disjointed experience for architects seeking product samples.
Showcasing the expansive and constantly updating product catalog was also a major challenge. The lack of a centralized, real-time digital catalog meant clients often received outdated PDFs, making it difficult for the brand to effectively communicate its true design capabilities, new product launches, and rich heritage.
A significant technical challenge was designing a robust B2B request management system capable of handling various types of complex architectural requests (lookbooks, binders, master kits, and custom quotations) seamlessly, while routing them precisely to the correct administrative personnel.
Additionally, managing, rendering, and securely storing a massive volume of high-resolution product imagery, 3D design files, and interactive digital flip-books required a highly scalable architecture. The system needed to fetch heavy media from cloud object storage (S3) instantly without compromising on website loading speed.
We developed an elegant, highly responsive front-end interface using Laravel and Tailwind CSS, providing users with a seamless browsing experience through a dynamic digital catalog and interactive flip-books. The architect portal was engineered with streamlined, automated forms for requesting and tracking sample kits and generating customized quotations.
For the backend, we integrated an S3-compatible object storage solution (Vultr Objects) to serve high-res imagery securely and efficiently. We also implemented a comprehensive admin dashboard equipped with advanced data tables, one-click PDF generation, and automated QR codes, giving the Morretti team absolute control over their content and operational workflows.
